SHAPING YOUR CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT TOGETHER
At Jigsaw Day Nursery, we understand that your child’s education starts at home with their parents/guardian. This responsibility is then shared with us when your child starts nursery.
By working together, sharing information, and developing a good relationship, we can give you the confidence that your child is getting the best possible care and early years education.
Settling-in sessions
When you reserve a place at our nursery, you will be invited to book in a number of short settling-in sessions to ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery life. This will provide you comfort in knowing that your child is in safe hands and helps them understand that you’re coming back later on in the day.
We often find that these sessions are usually harder for the parents that the children. It’s completely normal and just shows that you care, but please don’t worry as we will be there to support you also through this new transitional period.
Providing FEEDBACK
Our nursery staff will provide feedback to all parents and carers about their child’s progress that day.
We also encourage parents and carers to share information about their child’s progress at home, as this is very useful in building a picture of your child’s development and what activities they enjoy.
Staying in touch
We regularly share updates on your child’s progress and activities on the Famly App. This real time interaction allows you see see what you child is doing in the nursery and provides a forum for you to share your thoughts as their parent/carer.
