Children learn best when they feel safe, secure and understood. Our practitioners take time to build genuine relationships with every child, learning about their personality, interests, routines and the things that make them happy.
A dedicated key person provides an important familiar face for both child and parent and helps ensure that care and learning remain personal to your child.
For young children, play is serious learning. Our practitioners create engaging experiences that encourage children to investigate, solve problems, communicate, create and discover.
Activities are shaped around children's interests and development, allowing learning to happen naturally through experiences they genuinely enjoy.
Children don't all develop in exactly the same way or at exactly the same pace — and we don't expect them to.
We observe each child's development and interests and use this knowledge to support their individual next steps, celebrating progress without placing unnecessary pressure on childhood.
We've created spaces where children can confidently explore while feeling safe and comfortable.
Our rooms and resources are designed around young children, with safeguarding, security and wellbeing embedded throughout nursery life.

Learning at Jigsaw

Learning in the early years doesn't need to look like a classroom. It happens while building a tower and watching it tumble down, mixing colours at the painting table. While sharing a story, digging outdoors, counting at snack time or working out how to fasten a coat.
At Jigsaw, we use children's natural curiosity to create meaningful opportunities to learn throughout the day.
Our approach follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) while giving our practitioners the freedom to respond to children's individual interests, abilities and development.
Through play, conversation, exploration and carefully planned experiences, we're helping children develop the skills they need for the future — and the confidence to use them.

Busy little people need plenty of energy.
Mealtimes at Jigsaw are about much more than simply eating. They're an opportunity to enjoy nutritious food, try different tastes, develop independence and spend time together around the table.
We take allergies and dietary requirements seriously and work closely with families to ensure children can enjoy nursery mealtimes safely and confidently.

Every child is different. We work closely with families to understand allergies, intolerances, dietary requirements and individual needs so that mealtimes can be safe, inclusive and enjoyable.

We want eating together to be a positive part of the nursery day. Relaxed, social mealtimes encourage conversation, growing independence and the confidence to have a go at doing things for themselves.
